Subject to conditions, the General Permitted Development Order 2015 allows for the residential conversion of agricultural buildings under permitted development rights rather than undertaking a full planning application. These conditions place restrictions on size and the extent of building works amongst other things but can result in the conversion of some farm buildings which would previously have been considered unviable.
