Francis's experience of the commercial world has seen him responsible for the planning and implementation of an array of award-winning large commercial and retail mixed-use schemes, including; residential, offices, leisure, and industrial across the UK and in the Middle East.

Having cut his teeth in the commercial sectors, his personal interest in historic properties resulted in the renovation of several ruined properties with his latest development, Hellifield Peel, featuring on Channel 4's Grand Designs. In order to complete the project Francis was able to draw on his experience in negotiating the complex planning system with Hellifield Peel becoming the first Scheduled Ancient Monument since WWII to be converted into a private residential use.
